Our schedule this summer has been quite bizarre. While softball was still going on, we were there everyday from around 3 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Our mornings consisted of working on the “extras” that go along with coaching; open gyms, weights, plyos, etc. While it took up a large portion of our time, it also made us follow a schedule. Well except a normal eating schedule, but that is a whole other story.
However, now that softball is over and I have about a 2.5 week break before volleyball starts, we have gotten in the habit of staying up till 1 a.m. and waking up at 9:30 ish. Adam golfs during the day, we both work on our lesson plans for the fall, we shampooed all of our carpets, and we have watched a a lot of Veronica Mars.
This is more than fine with me, since Veronica Mars is my all-time favorite. Seriously though, I have no problem re-watching it from start to finish. Last night we just lost track of time and suddenly it was 2 a.m. Anyway, my point is that right now we are struggling to stay on a “normal” schedule. However, we are both so thankful to have jobs where we have this time off together. We are especially looking forward to it once kids are added to the mix.
Next week, we leave for Nashville, so I am hoping that gets us back on track for a somewhat normal schedule since we will be out and about a lot more. Volleyball will start shortly once we get back, so right now, while I dislike our schedules being all over the place, I am also so thankful to have this flexibility. Also, I will never turn down free time to watch Logan Echolls 🙂
